Moosgummi ist ein zelliges weich-elastisches Material auf Kautschukbasis. Die unvulkanisierte Mischung besteht aus Rohkautschuk und Chemikalien. Während der Vulkatisation treibt das Material auf und bildet im Innern eine gemischtzellige - teils offene, teils geschlossene - Zellstruktur mit einer dichten Außenhaut und gibt dem Gummi nun den bleibenden Charakter der Elastizität.

Für die Sicherstellung der Qualität in der laufenden Produktion von Erzeugnissen mit Gummi oder Kunststoff (Reifen, Autoreifen, Schläuche, Dichtungen, Kabel-Abschirmungen, Förderbänder, Haltegurte) müssen im Labor Prüflinge mit ganz bestimmten Abmessungen und Dicken hergestellt werden - dafür dient die Gummispaltmaschine

La schiuma di poliuretano viene utilizzata in svariati prodotti come materiali per l’edilizia, imbottiture per materassi, divani o sedie. Essendo un materiale isolante, il processo di essiccazione e termoindurimento eseguito con tecnologie convenzionali è spesso lento e inefficiente. Le radiofrequenze invece, essendo selettive nei confronti dell’acqua, sono in grado di riscaldare ed asciugare il supporto in tempi molto rapidi. Le macchine RF possono eseguire l’intero processo in autonomia o in combinazione con essiccatoi esistenti ad aria calda . Durante il processo non vengono emessi fumi o polveri. L’impianto è di dimensioni compatte e può essere installato anche in ambienti di lavoro ristretti.

Stalam ha sviluppato impianti a radiofrequenze appositamente concepiti per vulcanizzare le schiume di lattice naturale e/o SBR sia all'interno degli stampi (per materassi e cuscini) che in lastre continue (LPC o topper). La radiofrequenza può essere istantaneamente assorbita nella giusta proporzione dalla grande quantità di acqua contenuta nella schiuma, in maniera uniforme in tutto il suo volume. In questo modo, il riscaldamento della schiuma e la sua vulcanizzazione richiedono solo pochi minuti, al centro come in superficie. A parità di capacità produttiva, le apparecchiature di vulcanizzazione RF sono molto più corte rispetto ai “caroselli” convenzionali o ai tunnel a vapore, con una riduzione del consumo energetico del 50% (questo valore può essere adeguatamente documentato). Gli stampi per la vulcanizzazione RF sono realizzati in materiali compositi leggeri ed economici che permettono di ridurre il peso di oltre il 60% rispetto ai tradizionali stampi in metallo.
